Sneak Peak

A first proof copy of our collaborative book project has been printed - here's a little sneak peak!

There's still a few small adjustments to be made before the final finished version is printed but we are nearly there. The initial proof is black and white but a full colour version will also be produced - hold tight!

Meanwhile we continue to explore new places, new languages, new cultures and new ways to communicate - Nicole having just moved to Spain to teach English & myself shortly relocating to France.  As part of the European Voluntary Service I will work with a charity organisation towards social cultural development through exchanging skills and knowledge.

Busy busy ~~

I have just finished 5 months work in Basque Country, Spain, teaching English through running creative workshops with 12/13/14 year olds. It's been a busy 5 months but we are slowly progressing, working towards printing our first artists book - We hope to produce printed copies as well as an ebook version that will be accessible online. Alongside this we are also developing a series of photographs using double exposure onto 35mm film, exploring  contrasts of place and perspective.

In the meantime - A few photos from my time in the Basque Country and my trip down  to the south of Spain and through Portugal -

Steady

A steady pace the start of the year so apologies for lack of posts :-)

Phoebe has currently got an amazing job teaching English in Bilbao, Spain, and I've just started a job in Graphic Communications, so project time hasn't been in our favour as much recently (sadly)!


We are currently curating a 'recommended listening' playlist to accompany our book, which is in the process of being translated onto InDesign.

new year ~ progression

After a successful few days in London, brainstorming and gathering inspiration, we spent an afternoon in Doodle Bar compiling our images into a zine mock-up to emphasise the collaboration aspect and ideas of 'where we are' in our lives. 

We are currently in the process of transferring these to InDesign so we can begin preparing production of this book. Here are some previews of a few of the spreads.

We are working on lots of other ways of communicating these ideas and this zine is just the beginning of a series, alongside short moving images in the future and pop up exhibitions.
